A yoga class for seniors and those wanting a relaxing, moderate class met for over three years at the Houston Congregation for Reform Judaism, 801 Bering Drive. The class was small and everyone got personal attention. Poses were done sitting in chairs, standing with the support of chairs and on the floor. If an individual was challenged by a particular pose or didn’t want to get on the floor or was in a wheel chair, I created alternative poses that allowed the student to experience some benefits of the pose regardless of ability.
This class is NOT currently meeting. Some students joined the 1.5 class. If you have a group interested in developing a class of this nature, please contact me.
