We will resume classes in the Meyerland Studio on September 7 at 10 am. At this time the class is full. Please contact me if you would like to be put on the waiting list.
We are no longer associated with The Next Level Fitness. Their business model changed and was not compatible with our needs. It was a long, successful arrangement and we will always be grateful for the experience.
Many Level 1 students are vacationing this month. Therefore, all classes except Senior Chai Chair Yoga will be canceled in August. We will begin again September 7th. Please call me for location details.
While my home, and thus my home studio, is being painted, our daytime classes will be held in the home of a long-time student. She lives near Bissonnette and Weslayan, near The Next Level Fitness gym. The location of the evening classes is yet to be determined. Please contact me if you would like to join us and I will give you further information. We should be back home in Meyerland by the first of July.
We’ve had a wonderful year in our classes filled with learning, laughing, reflecting, breathing, struggling, accomplishing, working, resting and welcoming new students to our class. Now the holidays are upon us and, as is my custom, I will suspend classes after the 10 am class on Friday, December 18 for two weeks. We will resume class on the regular schedule on Monday, January 4th at 10 am at the Houston Congregation for Reform Judaism. This is a supported class for healthy seniors. They are very welcoming to anyone who wants to join us and learn more about yoga and about themselves. Classes sponsored by The Next Level Fitness resume on Wednesday, January 6 at 10 am and again at 6:30 pm. We meet again on Friday at 10 am. Check my schedule for more details.
If you have ever considered beginning yoga training, the new year is the perfect opportunity. I typically review skills and principals, and there are often others new to yoga in the class. You can contact me if you have questions not answered on my site. Those who practice have gained many benefits on a physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual level. I hope you will join us.
I am honored to be presenting for the 15th year at this wonderful retreat held at the Madha Radhav Dam Ashram and Retreat Facility in Austin, Texas October 16-18, 2015. Please visit www.texasyoga.com for complete details. You will feel welcome and find classes to inspire you and challenge you at your level of ability. Every year at this retreat I have had moments of important personal growth, made new friends and learned from wonderful teachers. I come home refreshed and renewed.
I’m so happy to announce a yoga class for seniors and those wanting an upbeat yet relaxed class at the Houston Center for Reform Judaism, 801 Bering Drive on Mondays from 10-11:15 am. Everyone, regardless of your faith, is welcome. We practice yoga while seated in chairs, standing with support of chairs or the wall, and lying on the floor (when possible). We focus on slow, steady breathing and quieting the mind. Please check my Class Schedule page for full details.
